Our club's mission statement offers further details about the nature of Northeast Toastmasters: Northeast Toastmasters maintains a comfortable, nurturing and relaxing environment for members and guests to develop the confidence and ability to become great speakers. We began as a group inspired by Gretchen Rubin's book, website and blog, THE HAPPINESS PROJECT. However, the Happiness Project Book seems to be a second step, many of us need to define what we would like to work on Martha Beck’s book “FINDING YOUR OWN NORTH STAR - claiming the life you were meant to live”, addresses this.
